Cade's Cove Winter was selected as my first attempt of a snow scene. It is located in the Smokey Mountains near Gatlinburg, TN. As a child I fondly remember walking over the rocks in its creeks, swinging on a rope and dropping into the river/creek to swim and telling ghost stories with my friends as we camped out there. I used the white of 300 lb. cold press Arches paper and washed on Payne's Grey to get the effects I wanted.
