In the Jungle

The African lion was my first commission.  It is a watercolor on paper which took approximately fifty hours to draw and paint.

It was commissioned by Susan M., a good friend who went on a safari with her son Jonathan (a Marine Captain) just before he shipped out for Afghanistan.  They still argue over who actually took the photo.  It doesn't matter to me, as it is one of my favorites.

  4. This painting looks just like the photo I took in Africa. It hangs in my den as a reminder of a fabulous journey to the Timbivati Game Reserve near Kreuger National Park (South Africa). You couldn't give me a million dollars for it...o.k., maybe a million!
